The 2023-24 sports season has kicked off with a bang, and here at Univerus Sport & Recreation, we’re excited to share some news with you. We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes to bring you an upgrade that’s set to improve your experience with our Univerus Sport platform. A key road-map initiative for us, this significant enhancement is centered around redefining how you manage your coaching staff, offering you more flexibility, efficiency, and organization.
These new features will launch next week (Week of September 5th) – So, let’s dive right into what’s new!
Introducing ‘Streams’ for Coaches
One of the standout features of this upgrade is the introduction of ‘Streams’ for coaches. Think of it as a game-changer for your coaching staff management. Just as you group athletes by categories, ‘Streams’ enable you to categorize your coaches into different types, such as head coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, and more. This new feature simplifies organization and empowers you to gather specific information or inquiries from various coaching roles.
Improved Document Management for Coaches
We’ve revamped the way documents are handled within the system to provide you with a more user-friendly and intuitive experience. The “Contract” page and “Attachments” have undergone a transformation. Attachments have now transitioned to the ‘Required Documents’ section, aligning coach document management with the athlete document structure. This update ensures a seamless experience when dealing with documents.
Dynamic Pages for Coaches
In the past, coach registration was limited to a few pages, including Info, Contract, and Education. With our new ‘Dynamic Pages,’ you’ll have the flexibility to work with our Client Success Team to create additional registration pages tailored to your needs. You’ll also have the ability to track these pages using different metrics, providing you with more insights into your coaching staff’s data.
Seasonal Data Structure for Coaches
Perhaps the most significant change in this upgrade is the introduction of seasonal data management for the Coach module. This means that coach data will now be organized by seasons, which represents a fundamental shift from the previous setup. While this adjustment may require some changes to your workflow when setting up new seasons, it will ultimately lead to better organization and more transparent data management in the long run. If you have questions about how this change might impact your historical coach records, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.
How Does This Affect My Organization?
Initially, you may not notice significant changes to your workflow, but there are a couple of key points to keep in mind:
Coaches Metrics
When accessing the ‘Set Up Coaches’ section, you’ll notice that all your coaches are displayed without visible metrics. To view individual metrics for each coach within a specific “Stream,” you’ll need to select the type of coach (e.g., Head Coach, Assistant Coach) you want to examine. Learn More
Attachments are Now Required Documents (in Coaches)
Coach document attachments are now located in the “Required Documents” section. To access them, simply click on the ‘Required Document’ metric, which will display all the documents previously uploaded in the ‘Attachments Section’. This change aligns coach documents with the athlete document structure. To learn more about how documents work, visit our help guide
